After checking nitrogen levels in our soil we sow seeds in alternating rows to naturally enhance the nutrients in our soil.
Our vineyard is planted with wild flowers and green manures which provide a welcoming home for insects, birds and animals.
We use agrobiological techniques which respect the natural cycle of the vines. We dynamise and manually spray green manures, concoctions and preparations to naturally improve and revitilise our whole terroir.
Ben has fabricated his own soft soil farming equipment to work the soil naturally.
You'll often see Ben out manually spraying remedies in the early hours of the morning.
We study the roots systems of our
vines ensuring both the main and smaller capillary roots are healthy and strong. The vines need both to thrive
Ben believes PUSSARD pruning was one of the most beneficial changes we made to restore our vines. Now-a-days he uses a blend of PUSSARD and DOUBLE GUYOT pruning. Each vine is pruned by Ben depending on the individual vine and canes.. We do not have a team of workers in for this task.
We are a family run vineyard, from vine to wine we complete each task ourselves.
Our wine is made with love and passion and looked after with the best possible care a vineyard could get!
Most tasks are carried out mainly by hand. We focus on quality not quantity. This care & attention to detail comes through in our wine
